The Micromachining Laser System is suitable for a very wide variety of micromaching operations on a large number of materials. The tool is especially useful for rapid prototyping of miniature 2 1/2D parts in most materials including metals, polymers, ceramics and semi-conductors. The system can incorporate a wide variety of lasers coupled with state-of-the-art beam delivery and motion control working together to provide the very best in advanced laser processing.
The system can drill holes as small as <15µm in diameter. Larger diameters can be trepanned by u sing the circle interpolation capability of the CNC. The high precision X & Y stages can cut large diameter holes, slots and other complex profiles to the limit of the table travel. The system is optionally field upgradeable to accommodate the exchange of the conventional focusing head with a two-axis galvo driven scanner head. The CNC system controller will drive both the stages and scanner head with its easy-to-use graphical user interface.
The Micromachining Laser System is a compact, floor-mounted unit incorporating a granite bridge structure to achieve unitized precision integration of the laser, optics and motion stages on a single platform. This robust design ensures that outside vibration is minimized as all the critical components including the laser are mounted on a single rigid base. The workpiece motion employs high precision linear stages with 200mm travel in X and 200mm travel in Y.
